SME manufacturers based in the Midlands have been encouraged to make use of a business support programme to create plans for growth and improvement.
Providing support to SME manufacturers across 18 LEP regions including the Midlands, the Manufacturing Growth Programme (MGP) works to identify opportunities and create plans for growth, connecting members to external experts to implement a bespoke improvement project based on their business needs. Grant funding is also available towards the cost of implementing the project.
Warbox, a rapidly expanding brand communications agency agency based in Nottingham, has worked with the programme since July 2021, helping MGP clients to develop their digital and brand strategies. Those who have benefitted include Midland Eco Homes, Dack Motor Group and J-Flex.
Mark Fensom, director at Warbox said:
“Initiatives like MGP are very important to SMEs looking to grow, especially given the challenges facing the manufacturing sector. Most businesses don’t know there’re funding options out there, so it’s great to help them and do what we can. We very much look forward to working with more Manufacturing Growth Programme clients and helping them with their strategic marketing needs.
Mark Taft, Manufacturing Growth Manager for MGP, said:
“It’s a difficult time for the manufacturing sector, with price rises and shortages creating severe challenges. The expert guidance from Warbox has helped a number of our clients develop their brand direction to fulfil their growth ambitions. We are grateful for their ongoing support for the programme and the difference it makes to SME Manufacturers.”
