We’re looking for a Lead Developer who can do more than write great code. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who wants to set direction, uphold standards and help shape the technical future of Warbox - while still building alongside the team.
You’ll lead our developers day to day, supporting account managers and clients as the technical lead on projects. You’ll be the voice of authority in decisions, able to explain the why as well as the how, and win confidence through your clarity and capability. You’ll also play an active role in shaping how we grow - helping to spot opportunities, represent Warbox in client meetings and bring technical vision to new conversations.
We work across Sanity, WordPress, Craft, Magento and Shopify, with front ends built in React, Next.js and Tailwind. Back-end projects run on Node.js, PHP, MySQL, APIs and self-managed server environments. We utilise tools and platforms to streamline how we work - so an openness to new technology and smarter ways of working is important.
You’ll need to be confident across the stack: able to problem-solve, guide others, and keep delivery smooth from first commit to launch. Just as importantly, you’ll be a natural leader - someone who inspires confidence in clients, brings energy to conversations and helps drive our growth as much as our output.
In short: a rock for the team, commercially sharp, operationally minded, and a developer who can code, lead and represent Warbox with confidence.
